Software Engineer (Remote)
Job Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build reliable, high-quality solutions that meet business and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
- Develop automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in system design, architecture, and technical discussions.
- Monitor application performance and implement improvements when required.
- Maintain technical documentation and development specifications.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and software development practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and SDLC.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or C++.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of software testing and debugging.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of modern frontend or backend frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience working with automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of application security and performance optimization.
