Web Developer (Remote)

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our remote development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing responsive websites and web applications while ensuring excellent performance, security, usability, and cross-browser compatibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications.
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Build and customize websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
• Work with CMS platforms such as WordPress and other relevant frameworks.
• Integrate APIs, third-party tools, plugins, and other web services.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, mobile responsiveness, and SEO.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website errors.
• Ensure websites work properly across major browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, content teams, and project managers.
• Implement website security best practices and perform regular updates.
• Test new features and functionality before deployment.
• Maintain existing websites and develop new features based on business requirements.
• Use Git/version-control systems for development and collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional web development experience.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
• Experience with WordPress, including theme and plugin customization.
• Knowledge of PHP and MySQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version-control systems.
• Understanding of website performance optimization and basic technical SEO.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or another modern JavaScript framework.
• Knowledge of PHP/Laravel or other backend technologies.
• Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce websites.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting, DNS, SSL, cPanel, and website deployment.
• Basic understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Experience working with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar tools.
